About the role

As a Shift Leader, you’re the go-to person when the Manager isn't around. You'll open and/or close the shop, keep the team motivated, and ensure everything runs smoothly. You’ll craft our Big, Beautiful Sandwiches while stepping up to handle guest queries, help manage daily operations, and keep the vibes high.

What you’ll be doing

  • Running shifts, ensuring the shop operates efficiently and effectively

  • Delivering an awesome experience, resolving guest issues quickly and positively

  • Mastering the menu, crafting Big, Beautiful Sandwiches quickly, prepping ingredients, and baking our signature Dutch Crunch bread

  • Opening and closing the shop, cash handling, managing stock, and ensuring quality standards

  • Assisting with training new team members and setting the example of Tommy’s culture

  • Keep the restaurant squeaky clean, including the kitchen, dining area, equipment, and WC’s according to food safety guidelines

Requirements

  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is required

  • Able to meet the shift needs of our shop:

    • Part-Time: 24 hours per week, 3 days of availability required

    • Full Time: 35-40 hours per week, 5 days of availability required

    • Opening and/or closing availability preferred but not necessarily required - we’re open most days from 7am - 7:30pm

  • Physically able to:

    • Stand for 8+ hour shifts

    • Lift and carry up to 10kg

    • Work in fast-paced environment

  • Legally allowed to work in the UK
